Regular Season Round 13: Peja - Prizreni 79-93

An interesting game for Prizreni (7-3) which played road game in Peja against their biggest opponent Peja (7-3). Third ranked Prizreni managed to get a 14-point victory 93-79. Prizreni dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Peja's 36 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Prizreni looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Josh Martin (201-95, college: Santa Clara) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Xavier Cannefax (188-89, college: WPU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists for the winners. Cannefax is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Prizreni players scored in double figures. The former international forward Drilon Hajrizi (203-91) answered with a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists and Montenegrin center Marko Perovic (204-92, agency: 011 Sports) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Peja. Prizreni have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Peja. Prizreni is looking forward to face league's leader Rahoveci at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Peja will play against Bashkimi in Prizren and is hoping to win this game.
