Regular Season Round 8: Khouzestan - Raad 66-88

The most shocking disappointment of round 8 was a home defeat of bottom-ranked Khouzestan (0-6) by eighth ranked Raad (1-5) who outscored them by 22 points 88-66 in the game for the seventh place. Raad forced 22 Khouzestan turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mohammadamin Kamalvand (196-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and N Fathi who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Raad players scored in double figures. American center Chris Ware (203-89, college: Indiana Tech) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Hesam Rezai scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Raad left bottom position moving up to seventh place. It was Khouzestan's sixth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost.
