Regular Season Round 25: Nishinomiya S. - Ehime OV 67-75

Another exciting game was played in Hyogo between seventh ranked Orange Vikings and 4th placed Nishinomiya S. where Orange Vikings (9-14) won against Nishinomiya S. (12-12) on the road 75-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nishinomiya S.. They outrebounded Nishinomiya S. 45-31 including 35 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: LBSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: CMU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Nishinomiya S.Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orange Vikings maintains seventh place with 9-14 record. Nishinomiya S. at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Orange Vikings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nishinomiya S. will play again at home against Orange Vikings (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
