Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked H.Acre (1-6) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Hasharon (3-4) 83-71 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Xavier Moon (188-95, college: Morehead St.) who scored 27 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) chipped in 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Timothy Williams (205-93, college: N.Mexico) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jordan Lewis (196-89, college: Cal Poly) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hasharon moved-up to ninth place. H.Acre lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with M.Kiryat Motzkin. Hasharon will meet higher ranked H.Galilee (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. H.Acre will play against H.Afula (#8) and hope to win that game.
