Regular Season Round 24: Niigata A. - Shinshu BW 67-76

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Niigata A. (7-17) lost at home to sixth ranked Shinshu BW (9-15) 76-67 on Saturday. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a good game for American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and American-North Macedonian power forward Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Niigata A.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu BW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Loser Niigata A. dropped to the eighth position with 17 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Niigata A. will play again at home against Shinshu BW (#5) and hope to win that game.
