Regular Season Round 8: Boulazac - Monaco 71-77

Bottom-ranked Boulazac Basket is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to fourth ranked Monaco (6-1) 77-71 on Saturday evening. Monaco made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Boulazac Basket turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: MTSU, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: MSU) accounted for 16 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. American forward John Flowers (200-89, college: WVU) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian guard Aaron Best (193-92, college: Ryerson) added 18 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively for Boulazac Basket in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to third place.
