Regular Season Round 8: Kofer Yoba - Al Ahli 70-110

Very significant was Al Ahli's (#1, 8-0) victory against 4th ranked Kofer Yoba (3-5) 110-70. They outrebounded Kofer Yoba 66-46 including a 46-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Ahli players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by international power forward Hashem Abbas (198, college: Bridgeport) who scored that evening 22 points and 7 rebounds and Mohammed Al Bdour (-1) supported him with 15 points and 6 assists. Al Ahli's coach Abdallah AbuQoura felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds by forward Ghaith Alfaraj (190-96) did not help to save the game for Kofer Yoba. Mustafa Masnour added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Five Al Ahli and four Kofer Yoba players scored in double figures. Al Ahli (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Kofer Yoba at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost.
