Hapoel Jerusalem (7-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (3-5) 99-83. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Hapoel Jerusalem. Ironi Nes-Ziona looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Colombian guard Braian Angola-Rodas (198-94, college: FSU, agency: Wasserman) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Patrick Miller (185-92, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 25 points and 4 assists. The former international Adam Ariel (195-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ironi Nes-Ziona moved-up to ninth place. Hapoel Jerusalem at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Maccabi Haifa (#13) at home in the next round. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Maccabi T-A (#4) in Tel-Aviv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
