Very important is a road loss of second ranked Petah Tikva (4-2) against ninth ranked Ramat Hasharon (2-4) on Monday night. Visiting Petah Tikva was defeated by Ramat Hasharon in Hasharon 83-73. Ramat Hasharon outrebounded Petah Tikva 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Ramat Hasharon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. American players dominated also this game. Guard Jennie Simms (183-94, college: ODU) notched 32 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and guard Jackie Young (183-97, college: Notre Dame, agency: Wasserman) supported her with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. Even 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Jocelyn Willoughby (183-98, college: Virginia, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Petah Tikva. Guard Kaila Charles (185-98, college: Maryland, agency: LBM Management) added 18 points and 6 rebounds. Ramat Hasharon moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Rishon Le-Zion. Petah Tikva at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Ramat Hasharon will meet higher ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Petah Tikva will play against the league's leader Ramla where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
