Regular Season Round 11: H.Haifa - H.Beer Sheva 101-91

Rather expected game when 8th ranked H.Beer Sheva (5-5) lost on the road to sixth ranked H.Haifa (6-3) 101-91. They made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. H.Haifa shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. H.Beer Sheva was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard Keenan Evans (191-96, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Forward Lennard Freeman (203-95, college: NC State) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Eric Griffin (203-90, college: Campbell) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Dominic Waters (186-86, college: Portland St., agency: Octagon Europe) scored 14 points and 9 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. H.Haifa moved-up to fifth place. H.Beer Sheva lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. H.Haifa will play against league's second-placed Galil Gilboa in Rosh Pina in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. H.Beer Sheva will play at home against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
