Regular Season Round 11: Team Pajulahti - Ura Basket II 79-87

Rather expected game when 12th ranked Team Pajulahti (3-8) lost to tenth ranked Ura Basket II (4-8) in Lahti 79-87 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Team Pajulahti won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ura Basket II looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstrong St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Lauri Hanninen (189-2) contributed with 30 points for the winners. Center Eetu Lahdetniemi (206-0) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and forward Eemi Luukkonen (200-2) added 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Team Pajulahti. Team Pajulahti's coach Pekka Setala let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Ura Basket II went down to eleventh position (1st Division) due to points difference. Newly promoted Team Pajulahti dropped to the fourteenth place with eight games lost. Ura Basket II will have a break next round. Team Pajulahti will play at home against the league's leader PuHu Juniorit (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
