The game with biggest result difference took place in Salo. Local Vilpas (7-4) outscored 7th ranked KTP Basket (6-6) 99-62 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Vilpas. KTP Basket managed to win third quarter 25-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KTP Basket to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Vilpas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to KTP Basket's 36. Vilpas forced 19 KTP Basket turnovers. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a quality performance of power forward Jeremiah Wood (200-85, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and guard Deondre Parks (185-92, college: S.Dakota St.) who added 21 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Braxton Huggins (196-96, college: Fresno St., agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Joe Burton (203-90, college: Oregon St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. KTP Basket's coach Tomi Kaminen gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Vilpas have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Loser KTP Basket dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Vilpas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KTP Basket will play against Kouvot (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
