Regular Season Round 24: Nova Ves - Levice 85-89

The most interesting game of round 24 in the SBL was a home defeat of second-best Nova Ves (12-7) to first ranked Levice (13-6) 89-85 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Levice made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Levice outrebounded Nova Ves 36-19 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Simon Krajcovic (187-94, college: LMU) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists and the former international center Boris Bojanovsky (217-93, college: FSU) who added 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Marko Stevanovic (203-94) with 21 points and Serbian Milan Nikolic (200-92) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Five Levice and four Nova Ves players scored in double figures. Levice maintains first position with 13-6 record. Nova Ves at the other side keep the second place with seven games lost. Levice are looking forward to face Lucenec (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nova Ves will play against Iskra Svit and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
