Important game to mention about took place in Ramat Gan. Second ranked I.Ramat Gan (7-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (4-4) 84-81 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Kiryat Ata. I.Ramat Gan made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Eyal Shulman (192-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) contributed with 8 points and 15 assists for the winners. American point guard Marlain Veal (175-96, college: SE Louisiana) answered with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Elijah Hirsh (203-97, college: Berry) added 22 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Ironi Kiryat Ata. Newly promoted I.Ramat Gan maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader E.Ashkelon. Ironi Kiryat Ata at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with H.Afula. I.Ramat Gan will play against league's leader Ironi Ashkelon on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ironi Kiryat Ata will play against Hapoel H/M (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
