Top Division Women top team - Castors Braine (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Liege (2-3) 89-61. They outrebounded Liege 30-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. Castors Braine looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Brazilian center Erika De-Souza (197-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (193-99, agency: BeoBasket) who added 18 points during the contest. Four Castors Braine players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Emmeline Leblon (165-0) with 17 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the former international center Jaleesa Maes (188-92, agency: LBM Management) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Castors Braine have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-0 record. Loser Liege dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Castors Braine will face Laarne (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Liege will play against Lummen (#8) and hope to win that game.
