Regular Season Round 11: Team Pajulahti - FoKoPo 62-81

Everything went according to plan when second ranked FoKoPo (8-3) outplayed 12th ranked Team Pajulahti (3-8) in Lahti 81-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by FoKoPo. Team Pajulahti was better in third quarter 14-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Team Pajulahti was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Gokul Natesan (196-94, college: Colorado Mines, agency: Haylett Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 6 steals. His fellow American import forward Jerrell Martin (198-95, college: SHU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Arttu Nykanen (187-2) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Eemi Luukkonen (200-2) added 4 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Team Pajulahti. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. FoKoPo maintains second place in 1st Division with 8-3 record behind leader PuHu Juniorit. Newly promoted Team Pajulahti dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost. FoKoPo will face Karkkila (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Team Pajulahti will play against the league's leader PuHu Juniorit and hope to win that game.
