No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Kosynierzy (13-6) crushed 13th ranked Asseco Arka (7-13) in Gdynia 102-63 on Sunday. Kosynierzy dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco Arka's 34. Kosynierzy forced 20 Asseco Arka turnovers. Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 assists. American guard Elijah Stewart (196-95, college: USC) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Kosynierzy players scored in double figures. International center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Filip Dylewicz (202-80) added 15 points in the effort for Asseco Arka. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kosynierzy have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Legia and Start. Asseco Arka lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Kosynierzy will face bottom-ranked Polpharma (#16) in Starogard Gdanski in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Asseco Arka will play on the road against GTK in Gliwice and hope to win that game.
