There was an upset when higher ranked HyPo (4-4) was outscored by thirteenth ranked Pyrinto Ak.B (4-8) in Tampere 124-66 on Sunday. The game without a history. Pyrinto Ak.B led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to HyPo's 42. Pyrinto Ak.B forced 19 HyPo turnovers and outrebounded them 58-30 including a 41-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by HyPo's players. American guard David Gonzalvez (193-87, college: Richmond) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Matti Meldo (190-96) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Pyrinto Ak.B players scored in double figures. Forward Albatrit Syla (202-3) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Ian Uwamungu (188-1) added 17 points in the effort for HyPo. HyPo's coach Besim Maxhuni gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Pyrinto Ak.B moved-up to tenth place in 1st Division. Loser HyPo keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Pyrinto Ak.B will have a break next round.
