Regular Season Round 12: Swarzedz - Widzew 87-67

The game in Swarzedz supposed to be also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Widzew (5-7) played at the court of seventh ranked Swarzedz (4-8). Swarzedz did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-67. Swarzedz forced 21 Widzew turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Widzew's players. The winners were led by Magdalena Wojdalska (173-94) who scored that evening 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and Marta Urbaniak (182-87) supported her with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Four Swarzedz players scored in double figures. Swarzedz's coach Anna Talarczyk used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points and 8 rebounds by guard Anna Kudelska (169-98) did not help to save the game for Widzew. Wiktoria Stepien (176-0) added 20 points and 6 rebounds. Newly promoted Swarzedz maintains seventh position in Group B with 4-8 record, which they share with Katy Wrocl. Widzew lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Swarzedz's next round opponent will be higher ranked Tecza Leszno (#4) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Widzew will play against Wisla Krakow and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the EBLK just one year after relegation.
