The game in Split supposed to be also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Borik Puntamika (10-5) played at the court of fifth ranked Split (10-4). Split smashed Borik Puntamika 92-70. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Borik Puntamika. Split dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Borik Puntamika's 34 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Borik Puntamika 38-23 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Split players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Borik Puntamika helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international center Marin Maric (211-94, college: DePaul, agency: BeoBasket) fired 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners. Mateo Kedzo (205-84) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Split players scored in double figures. Split's coach Ivica Skelin felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Lovre Runjic (193-0) produced 15 points and guard Teo Petani (190-88) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Split have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Borik Puntamika at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Split's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked H.Analitica (#12) in Zagreb and are hoping to win another game. Borik Puntamika will play at home against KK Zabok (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
