A very interesting game took place in Kouvola. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Kataja (6-6) to ninth ranked Kouvot (4-7) 88-86 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kataja. Kataja was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Kouvot, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Tuomas Hirvonen (181-96) who scored 28 points and 4 assists. American forward Bo Zeigler (198-95, college: GWU) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Rashard Odomes (198-96, college: Oklahoma) who recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Dantez Walton (198-97, college: NKU) added 16 points respectively. Four Kouvot and five Kataja players scored in double figures. Kouvot maintains ninth position with 4-7 record. Kataja at the other side dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Kouvot's next round opponent will be Korihait (#11) in Uusikaupunki.
