There was a minor upset when 4th placed Roma Luiss (2-3) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Formia (2-3) 75-64 on Wednesday. Formia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Roma Luiss' players. The best player for the winners was swingman Armando Verazzo (-2) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian power forward Guillermo Laguzzi (204-82) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Formia's coach Giovanni Di Rocco allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Massimiliano Sanna (195-88) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and center Francesco Infante (204-92) added 24 points respectively for the guests. Formia moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Roma Luiss. Formia will face Sant Antimo (#7) in Napoli in the next round. Roma Luiss will play at home against the league's leader Rieti and hope to win that game.
