Important game to mention about took place in Paterna. Ninth ranked Paterna (6-8) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Estepona (7-6) 71-69 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Estepona. Paterna made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American forward Nadia Fingall (191, college: Stanford) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Claudia Contell (-3) contributed with 22 points for the winners. American guard Sierra Moore (180-94, college: Penn St.) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and center Claudia Calvelo (192-92) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Estepona. Four Estepona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Paterna. Despite that victory Paterna went down to tenth position (Group B) due to points difference. Estepona at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Paterna will face higher ranked Unicaja (#3) in Malaga in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
