There was a minor upset in Tallinn where 10th ranked Tartu (5-10) was defeated by twelfth ranked Kalev/TLU (2-14) 88-80. Kalev/TLU outrebounded Tartu 34-20 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Brandis Raley-Ross (190-87, college: S.Carolina) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Karl-Johan Lips (200-96) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Kalev/TLU players scored in double figures. Swedish point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) answered with 25 points and 8 assists and American forward Jordan Capps (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) added 23 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tartu. Tartu's coach Toomas Kandimaa rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kalev/TLU maintains twelfth place with 2-14 record. Tartu lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Kalev/TLU will play against higher ranked Rapla (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tartu will have a break next round.
