Regular Season Round 5: Oleggio - Imola 73-53

Round in Serie B means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Oleggio where host Oleggio (4-1) crushed league's leader Imola (4-1) 73-53 on Wednesday evening. It was a key game for the top position in B. Oleggio forced 19 Imola turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized Swiss Olivier Giacomelli (198-95) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Guglielmo De-Ros (186-98) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Robert Fultz (191-82) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and forward Marco Morara (198-90) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oleggio keeps a position of B leader, which they share with Bernareggio and Piacenza. Imola will play next round against Alessandria trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Oleggio will try to continue on its current victory against fifteenth ranked Alba on the road.
