An interesting game took place in Trieste where 8th ranked Reggio Emilia (6-8) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Trieste (6-7) 78-69. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Reggio Emilia's 26. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Argentinian guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists. Trieste's coach Eugenio Dalmasson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Czech Tomas Kyzlink (198-93) added 21 points respectively for Reggio Emilia in the defeat. Trieste have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Cremona. Reggio Emilia lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Trento and Treviso. Trieste will play against Vanoli Cremona (#8) on the road in the next round. Reggio Emilia will play against the league's leader Armani Milano where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
