There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Ura Basket II (4-8) was smashed by thirteenth ranked Pyrinto Ak.B (4-8) in Tampere 113-86 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Pyrinto Ak.B. Ura Basket II was better in fourth quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pyrinto Ak.B forced 20 Ura Basket II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international center Mika Nuolivirta (210-94, college: CSU-Pueblo) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds. Guard Kion Williams (185-3) contributed with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Pyrinto Ak.B players scored in double figures. American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstrong St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Lauri Hanninen (189-2) added 9 points and 7 assists in the effort for Ura Basket II. Pyrinto Ak.B moved-up to tenth place in 1st Division. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
