An interesting game took place in Bydgoszcz where higher ranked Twarde Pierniki (9-12) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Enea Astoria (8-12) 98-92 on Friday. Enea Astoria outrebounded Twarde Pierniki 39-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Corey Sanders (188-97, college: Rutgers) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Lithuanian guard Paulius Dambrauskas (195-91, agency: Players Group) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds and American-Hungarian point guard Obie Trotter (188-84, college: AAMU) added 14 points, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively. Five Enea Astoria and four Twarde Pierniki players scored in double figures. Enea Astoria moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with MKS DG. Loser Twarde Pierniki dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Enea Astoria will meet at home higher ranked Legia (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Twarde Pierniki will play against the league's leader Zastal Enea BC (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
