We should not miss a home victory of seventh ranked Palencia (4-5) over 4th ranked Valladolid (5-5) 72-67. The best player for the winners was forward Sean Smith (203-95, college: St.Cloud St.) who scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian guard Luciano Massarelli (185-93) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Nacho Martin (202-83) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Antoine Mason (191-92, college: Auburn) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. Valladolid's coach Hugo Lopez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Palencia moved-up to fifth place in Gold. Valladolid at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. Palencia's next round opponent will be Caceres Basket (#7) on the road.
