Regular Season Round 15: Borisfen - Grodno GrSU 120-44

Third ranked Borisfen (11-2) crushed at home 6th ranked Grodno GrSU (6-7) by 76 points 120-44, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Borisfen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Grodno GrSU's 22 and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Borisfen forced 33 Grodno GrSU turnovers and outrebounded them 48-17 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Grodno GrSU's players. Borisfen brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. It was a good game for Ilya Sharipov (198-91) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American power forward Brooks DeBisschop (206-98, college: NAU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Borisfen players scored in double figures. Point guard Dmitriy Mahnach (180-1) answered with 11 points and point guard Anton Gaidel (188-3) added 6 points in the effort for Grodno GrSU. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Borisfen maintains third place with 11-2 record having just three points less than leader Grodno. Grodno GrSU at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Borisfen's next round opponent will be Gomel (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Grodno GrSU will play against SDUSHOR (#11) in Minsk and hope to win that game.
