Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Widzew (6-7) outplayed 10th ranked Wisla Krakow (1-13) in Lodz 70-23 on Saturday. Widzew held Wisla Krakow to an opponent 15.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Widzew forced 31 Wisla Krakow turnovers. Quite impressive performance for guard Anna Kudelska (169-98) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Natalia Gzinka (178-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 9 steals for the winners. Center Aleksandra Jojczyk (187-2) answered with 7 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Martyna Pajak (165-2) added 2 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Wisla Krakow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Widzew maintains fifth place in Group B with 6-7 record. Wisla Krakow lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Widzew will face Gorzow Wlkp. II (#6) in Gorzow Wielkopolski in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play at home against Tecza Leszno (#4) and hope to win that game.
