There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Pozzuoli (2-4) lost on the road to eighth ranked Cassino (2-4) 78-60 on Saturday. It was a good game for the former international Federico Lestini (203-83) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Cassino players scored in double figures. Cassino's coach Luca Vettese allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosnian Emin Mavric (203-98) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Bosnian point guard Amar Balic (180-96) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pozzuoli. Cassino moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Pozzuoli. Cassino will face higher ranked Avellino (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Pozzuoli will play against Formia (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
