Regular Season Round 8: Bourg - Chalon 90-109

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Chalon (4-2) smashed on the road 14th ranked Bourg (2-6) 109-90 on Saturday. Chalon looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Maxime Galin (202-2) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Center Yvann MBaya (208-1) chipped in 22 points. Swingman Corentin Falcoz (190-2) produced 32 points (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and power forward Maxim Ilvovskiy (201-2) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Five Chalon and four Bourg players scored in double figures. Chalon have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Bourg dropped to the fifteenth position with six games lost. Chalon will face higher ranked ASVEL (#3) in Villeurbanne in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
