Very important is a road loss of third ranked Menorca (10-3) against tenth ranked Benicarlo (5-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Menorca was defeated by Benicarlo in a tough game in Castellon 64-69. Benicarlo forced 21 Menorca turnovers. American forward Noah McCarty (203-98, college: NIU) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Raimon Carrasco (188-99) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Four Benicarlo players scored in double figures. The former international forward Alberto Corbacho (200-84) produced 11 points and power forward Urko Otegui (203-81) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Benicarlo moved-up to eighth place in Silver. Loser Menorca keeps the third position with three games lost. Benicarlo will meet at home league's second-placed Prat in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Menorca will play against Navarra in Pamplona and hope to secure a win.
