Regular Season Round 26: Nova Ves - Lucenec 91-87

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Nova Ves as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Nova Ves defeated 3rd ranked Lucenec at home 91-87. American guard Delano Spencer (190-94, college: Tennessee St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian Milan Nikolic (200-92) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Nova Ves players scored in double figures. Nova Ves' coach Teo Hojc used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Dominique Hawkins (183-94, college: Kentucky) replied with 23 points and Ukrainian center Konstantin Anikenko (218-92) added 19 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) in the effort for Lucenec. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Lucenec at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Lucenec will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Nova Ves will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Prievidza on the road.
