Regular Season Round 15: Zyrardow - AZS UJK 86-115

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Zyrardow (7-6) was outleveled at home by eighth ranked AZS UJK (7-6) 115-86 on Saturday. AZS UJK made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for swingman Igor Jagiello (193-95) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Maciej Parszewski (195-94) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Mariusz Lapinski (196-82) answered with 27 points and guard Sylwester Kus (188-90) added 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Zyrardow. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS UJK moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with defeated Zyrardow. AZS UJK will face league's leader AZS UMCS in Lublin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
