Liga Dia top team - Perfumerias Avenida (20-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Zamarat (3-16) in Salamanca 91-58. They outrebounded Zamarat 32-19 including 20 on the defensive glass. Perfumerias Avenida looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Zamarat's players. American-British swingman Katie Samuelson (190-97, college: UConn, agency: Wasserman) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds. American-British swingman Karlie Samuelson (183-95, college: Stanford, agency: Wasserman) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Perfumerias Avenida players scored in double figures. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Roberto Iniguez felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jamaican forward Vanessa Gidden (192-85, college: Hofstra) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Marina Lizarazu (173-95, college: Iona) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Zamarat. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-0 record. Zamarat at the other side stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Perfumerias Avenida are looking forward to face Cadi La Seu (#10) in Seu D'urgell in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zamarat will play at home against ASEFA Estudiantes (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
