Regular Season Round 15: AZS AWF Mick. - UR Krakow 95-61

There was no surprise when 8th ranked UR Krakow (5-8) was outleveled by third ranked AZS AWF Mick. (10-4) in Katowice 95-61 on Saturday. AZS AWF Mick. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to UR Krakow's 28. They outrebounded UR Krakow 47-33 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Karol Leszczynski (190-87) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Jakub Nowak (200-99) contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four AZS AWF Mick. players scored in double figures. Jaroslaw Gizynski (196-99) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Patryk Michalowski (198-1) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for UR Krakow. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS AWF Mick. maintains third place in Group C with 10-4 record having just two point less than leader Rydzyna, which they share with Tarn.Gory. UR Krakow lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. AZS AWF Mick. will face league's second-placed Polonia Bytom on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
