Regular Season Round 13: Mark - IK Eos 98-87

There was an upset in Kinna where higher ranked IK Eos (6-3) were defeated by eleventh ranked Mark (2-10) 98-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Mark. IK Eos was better in fourth quarter 29-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Guard Stina Almqvist (181-2) fired 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Emma Hager (170-1) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Alexa Middleton (175-95, college: Iowa St.) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Sofie Ljungcrantz (176-97) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Mark and four IK Eos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mark maintains eleventh place with 2-10 record. Loser IK Eos keep the sixth position with three games lost. Mark will face bottom-ranked Helsingborg (#12) on the road in the next round.
