The game in Patras supposed to be also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Iraklis (5-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Promitheas (5-3). Promitheas smashed Iraklis 85-61. The game without a history. Promitheas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Promitheas had a 36-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ian Miller (190-91, college: FSU) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Jerian Grant (196-92, college: Notre Dame) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Promitheas players scored in double figures. The former international center Vasilis Kavvadas (205-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: MSSU) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively for Iraklis in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Promitheas moved-up to fifth place. Iraklis at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with PAOK. Promitheas will play against higher ranked Lavrio (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Iraklis' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Thessaloniki to the arena PAOK.
