Regular Season Round 12: Karkkila - FoKoPo 72-101

No shocking result in a game when second ranked FoKoPo (9-3) outleveled on the road 13th ranked Karkkila (3-6) 101-72 on Sunday. The game without a history. FoKoPo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Karkkila only scored four points from the stripe. FoKoPo forced 28 Karkkila turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Gokul Natesan (196-94, college: Colorado Mines, agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 8 assists and 7 steals (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) and the other American import forward Jerrell Martin (198-95, college: SHU) who added 21 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Akseli Nieminen (201-3) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Hannes Koskinen (198-98) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five FoKoPo and four Karkkila players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FoKoPo keeps a position of 1st Division leader. Loser Karkkila dropped to the fourteenth place with six games lost. FoKoPo will face Westside ET (#4) in Espoo in the next round. Karkkila will play on the road against the league's second-placed PuHu Juniorit (#2) in Vantaa and hope to win that game.
