There was no surprise when 15th ranked Sangiorgese (1-5) lost on the road to eighth ranked Ragusa (4-2) 70-63 on Sunday. Ragusa outrebounded Sangiorgese 49-34 including 39 on the defensive glass. Sangiorgese was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Mattia Mastroianni (203-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Giovanni Ianelli (190-0) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Ragusa's coach Antonio Bocchino allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Andrea Picarelli (196-96, agency: SLN) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and forward Sebastiano Bianchi (197-92, agency: SLN) added 17 points in the effort for Sangiorgese.
