Regular Season Round 15: Campobasso - Vigarano 76-59

Very expected game when 13th ranked Vigarano (1-12) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Campobasso (5-8) 76-59. Campobasso players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Vigarano's players. It was an exceptional evening for international power forward Samantha Ostarello (188-91, college: Purdue) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. International guard Maddalena Gorini (180-92) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Campobasso's coach Domenico Sabatelli allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward JaTavia Tapley (191-97, college: ASU) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-91) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for Vigarano in the defeat. Newly promoted Campobasso maintains ninth place with 5-8 record. Vigarano lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Campobasso's next round opponent will be league's leader Venezia on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vigarano will play against Bologna (#3) and hope to win that game.
