Regular Season Round 15: Ragusa - Bologna 86-82

The game between second ranked Bologna (12-3) and fourth ranked Ragusa (11-2) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Bologna was defeated by Ragusa in a tough game in Ragusa 82-86. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Ragusa forced 19 Bologna turnovers. Strangely Bologna outrebounded Ragusa 36-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Tyaunna Marshall (175-92, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import center Isabelle Harrison (190-93, college: Tennessee) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five Ragusa players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian center Abby Bishop (189-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and Croatian forward Ana-Marija Begic (191-94) added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Ragusa have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 11-2 record. Bologna at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Ragusa are looking forward to face Sassari (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bologna will play against Vigarano (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
