Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Aviles (4-11) was rolled over at home by seventh ranked Adareva (8-7) 66-44 on Sunday. Adareva dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Aviles' 22. They outrebounded Aviles 38-24 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mali center Gnere Dembele (186-0) had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Noelia Ibanez (188-0) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Adareva's coach Antonio Canamero felt very confident using 10 players saving starting five for next games. Portuguese point guard Marcia Carvalho (170-92) responded with 17 points and Portuguese swingman Marcy Goncalves (177-90) scored 7 points. Adareva have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with Barakaldo. Loser Aviles keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Adareva will face league's second-placed Ardoi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aviles will play against Rioja (#4) and hope to win that game.
