Regular Season Round 16: Borisfen - Rubon 110-76

There was no surprise in Mogilev where 5th ranked Rubon (9-6) was crushed by third ranked Borisfen (13-2) 110-76. Borisfen outrebounded Rubon 47-33 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Rubon's players. The winners were led by American power forward Brooks DeBisschop (206-98, college: NAU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and Cuban forward Darol Hernandez (207-89) supported him with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Borisfen players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by forward Ruslan Pishcheyko (198-98) did not help to save the game for Rubon. Ukrainian point guard Ernesto Tkachuk (190-94) added 9 points and 10 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Borisfen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-2 record behind leader Grodno. Rubon at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Borisfen's next round opponent will be Brest (#7) on the road. Rubon will play against Grodno GrSU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
