Korisliiga top team - Seagulls (12-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Lahti (6-6) 97-89. Seagulls made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Lahti was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American guard Kendale McCullum (194-96, college: Lewis, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and international Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valpo) supported him with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four Seagulls players scored in double figures. Even 28 points and 4 assists by Canadian guard Wayne McCullough (195-94, college: CCU) did not help to save the game for Lahti. Forward Ville Karvonen (199-96) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Lahti's coach Pieti Poikola rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Seagulls have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-0 record. Lahti lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Seagulls will play against Kouvot (#9) in Kouvola in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lahti will play on the road against Nokia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
