Regular Season Round 4: Kibirkstis - Gorizont 62-70

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Lithuanian Kibirkstis (2-1) in Vilnius on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Belarusian Gorizont (4-1) 70-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kibirkstis. Kibirkstis were trailing by 12 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 22-12 charge of Gorizont, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Viktoryia Hasper (192-88) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and center Anastasiya Veremeenko (194-87) who added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard Gabriele Sulske (175-90) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Kriste Timofejeva scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Kibirkstis players scored in double figures. Kibirkstis' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gorizont keeps a position of league leader. Defending Lithuanian champion Kibirkstis dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Nika.
