There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Villarrobledo (5-6) smashed on the road 7th ranked Tarragona (5-7) 90-62 on Saturday. Villarrobledo shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 63.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was Guillem Sabates (195-96) who scored 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard David Mejia (185-0) chipped in 17 points. Five Villarrobledo players scored in double figures. Cape Verdean forward Kevin Coronel (197-91) produced 20 points and guard Daniel Tugores (185-95) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. Tarragona's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Villarrobledo moved-up to eighth place in Silver. Newly promoted Tarragona dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Villarrobledo will face Jairis (#11) at home in the next round. Tarragona will play against the league's second-placed Menorca and will have a slim chance for a victory.
