Very expected game when 7th ranked Mondeville (4-4) lost on the road to third ranked Aulnoye (7-3) 74-67 on Saturday. Aulnoye forced 25 Mondeville turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Stepha MBaye (181-95, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) nailed 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and swingman Elise Prodhomme (180-89) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Aulnoye's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Louise Bussiere (180-2) came up with 12 points and 6 assists and the former international center Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova (193-93, college: Dayton) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Mondeville in the defeat. Four Mondeville players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aulnoye. They maintain third place with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Angers. Loser Mondeville keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Aulnoye will meet league's second-placed Toulouse on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
